St. Catherine's Monastery in Sinai, Egypt - Day
Tour
The Monastery of St Catherine is a 6th century
monastery situated in the middle of the Sinai
Peninsula, under the cliffs of Mount Sinai and
Mount Catherine.
These granite cliffs rise to about 2500 meters
above the sea level and create one of the most
dramatic landscapes and observation points in the
world.
After the hotel pickup at 06:00,we cross the
Egyptian border and meet our guide.
We drive two hours through the spectacular desert.
While we drive, you can enjoy your breakfast.
Upon arrival, we enter the monastery with our
guide, who explains all historical and important
details on the two churches from the 4th and 6th
centuries, the well of Moses, the burning bush and
the Chamber of Skulls.
After the guided tour, lunch is served in a
quality restaurant (included in tour price).
Before heading back, we tour colorful local bazaar
before returning to the Taba border at about
18:00.

After visiting the monastery you can opt to go up
the mountain and watch the sun set.
This takes approximately another 4.5 hours, and
costs small additional fee.
It also sets our return to Eilat at 22:00h.

Cairo Highlights - 2 days
While you are in Eilat, don't miss the chance to
experience the glory and majesty of Cairo.

an unforgettable 2-day tour, packed with all the
best Egypt's famous capital has to offer.
Day 1 We pick you up from your hotel and set from
out from Eilat at 05:30 for a quick and easy
border crossing at Taba.
We then travel comfortably through the
breathtaking scenery of the rugged Sinai Desert,
pass the Suez Canal, and reach the Pyramids of
Cairo at around lunchtime.
You will have plenty of time to explore the
Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Papyrus Institute
before being transferred to your 1st class hotel
for dinner (included in trip price) and rest.
Day 2 We begin the day with a fine breakfast in
the hotel (also included in trip price) followed
by a tour of the Cairo Museum, home to some of the
most awe-inspiring antiquities in the world -
including the ancient treasures of the child king
Tut Ankhamen. After breaking for lunch, wander
through the Bazaar in Cairo before boarding the
bus to return to Eilat.
Arrival is at approximately 21:00.
Included in the trip price are all entrance fees
except for the Pyramid Burial Chamber and Cairo
Museum Mummy Room.
Prices are separate for those who prefer not to
enter these sites.
Your English-speaking escort will be with you
throughout the trip, and you will also be
accompanied by an English-speaking Egyptian guide.
All travel is in air-conditioned coaches and
